Austrian Society Hike
Tonto Monument Peak Loop
The Monument Peak Loop is a 3.4 mile, 223 feet elevation, easy hike near Payson that circles a small peak with lovely views of the surrounding forested mountains. This trail has a nice balance of shade and views.
Directions to the trailhead: AZ-87 to Payson, right on 260, right on East Granite Dells Rd for 3.4 miles. Last two miles are unpaved. No fees, no facilities.

Stammtisch
This is a very special and exciting Stammtisch! The Austrian Society of Arizona will be hosting WOLFGANG FIEREK, a famous actor and production designer.
He was born on December 9, 1950 in Ottobrunn, Bavaria, Germany. He is known for the movies Ein Bayer auf Rügen (1993), Zwei Münchner in Hamburg (1989) and Marie fängt Feuer (2016). He has been married to Djamila Mendil since 1994. Wolfgang Fierek has also made a name for himself as a pop singer. His biggest hit was" Resi, i hol di mit'm Traktor ab”.

The Austrian Consulate General in Los Angeles is hosting a Consular Day on April 5th, 2024 at the Austrian Honorary Consulate in Phoenix, Arizona.

Superstition Wilderness: Jacob's Crosscut to Siphon Draw Junction
In and out trail from Crosscut Trailhead to the junction with the Siphon Draw Trail. This easy trail follows the base of the Superstitions, providing stunning views.
Length: 3.8 miles, elevation change <100 feet.

Superstition Wilderness: Jacob's Crosscut to Siphon Draw Junction
In and out trail from Crosscut Trailhead to the junction with the Siphon Draw Trail. This easy trail follows the base of the Superstitions, providing stunning views. Total length will be 3.8 miles with an elevation gain of less than 100 feet.
Length: 3.8 miles, elevation change <100 feet.

Austrian Society Hike
Bartlett Reservoir Trail, Tonto National Forrest
The Bartlett Reservoir Trail hugs the shores of Bartlett Lake with SB Mountain looming overhead. This hike is moderate with some inclines and some laid-back sections. With lots of little coves to stop into for a rest, it’s a good hike to take at a leisurely pace.
Length: 4.5 miles, elevation change 557 feet.

On October 26, 1955, the Austrian Parliament passed the constitutional law on permanent neutrality, which has been celebrated as the Austrian National day since 1965.

McDowell Sonoran Preserve - Basalt Ridge Overlook from Brown's Ranch Trailhead, Scottsdale
A 4.8 mile hike in and out with a 120 feet elevation change. It starts at the Brown's Ranch Trailhead with the Upper Ranch Trail.
